Gallipoli was just one of many wars in WW1.
Gallipoli was just one of many wars in WW1.
Some people refused to go to war, the people who did got tortured.
For people who went to war it was just as bad.
What was it like in Gallipoli?
When they came of the boat they tried to find safety.
The troops were getting the wrong bullets.
They went up the mountains then couldn't get down.
They had to eat grass so they didn't starve.
And they had to drink disgusting water.
There maps were wrong.
Some people found safety the people who didn't got shot.
The guy tortured thought he wouldn't make it.
Churchill choose the worst bit to land on.
The water had blood in it from New Zealand soldiers.
Turkey thought the war would go on for 3 weeks, it went on for years.
The water made all the soldiers sick.
I think the Gallipoli campaign was bad because they should have sent a certain amount of troops and not kept sending more.
